ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Seasonal Full-Time and Part-Time Gardener Assistants to join the Flying Horse Horticulture team. This role primarily supports the maintenance and care of annual plantings and landscaped areas, ensuring they remain healthy, clean, and visually appealing. Key responsibilities include routine upkeep of planters and beds, monitoring plant health, and ensuring irrigation and other supporting systems are functioning properly. This position will also assist with general landscape tasks and projects as needed. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a genuine interest in plants, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to uphold the Club’s high standards of quality. Assists in performing maintenance on ornamental beds, baskets, pots, wagons on the Club grounds and golf course Communicates with team members to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met. Assists in fertility and checking water needs Competent with safe operation of equipment utilized in the daily maintenance of ornamental plants and shrubs. Incorporates safe working practices while performing necessary duties of the job. Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather. Must be able to lift 25lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop and crawl. This job requires weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION: 1 year experience in horticulture preferred, but not required A valid driver’s license is required. Ability to work for long periods of time standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing/pulling Must possess punctuality, reliability, and a strong attention to detail. A self-motivated individual with excellent organization skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously Strong communication skills are a must, with the ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision.
