We are a thriving and expanding Sixth Form College with outstanding examination results.
We are looking for an enthusiastic part time Gardener and Grounds Person who is also willing to undertake the duties of an Assistant Caretaker when required to join our excellent Property team who maintain the college environment. This is a part time, all year round role and the successful candidate will work 22.5 hours a week, maintaining our gardens and grounds at the main college site as well as our student accommodation.
You will need gardening experience with an excellent understanding of plant, flower and shrub care. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, reliable and approachable, as well as being flexible and adaptable working within this busy environment. No two days are the same. You will need to enjoy gardening and working outdoors as well as indoors. They will need to be able to work on their own, being self motivated as well as part of a team.
A willingness to train to drive the college minibus and the college van would be essential. Benefits include being part of the Local Government Pension Scheme and generous holiday allowance.
