POSITION OVERVIEW

The Gardener / Maintenance role is integral to the Corporate Services team, responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the grounds at various Mulungu sites in Mareeba. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that our facilities are not only functional but also inviting for all community members.
You will be tasked with a variety of yard duties, including lawn maintenance, plant care, and equipment operation. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help us maintain a high standard of groundskeeping, contributing to a pleasant environment for our clients and staff.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual who has a passion for gardening and maintaining outdoor spaces.

  • Possession of a current manual Class C Drivers License.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Proficient in the operation and maintenance of gardening equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adhere to workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work between the hours of 7am & 7pm & weekends as required.
  • Possession of Working with Children (Blue Card) or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
  • Possession of current Australian Federal Police Check (within the last 6 months) or ability to obtain prior to commencement.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to organizational policies and standards is essential for success in this role.
