  • Are skilled in provision of gardening services (Essential)
  • Have a genuine commitment to helping older people retain independence at home
  • Are responsible, well organised, and able to prioritise workload effectively
  • Demonstrate empathy, respect, and the ability to work with older people and their families/carers
  • Understand and comply with confidentiality requirements
  • Are reliable, honest, and trustworthy
  • Can complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Understand the needs and strengths of older people
  • Have a basic knowledge of aged care legislation and responsibilities (e.g. Elder Abuse, Code of Conduct, duty of care)

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a full-time permanent Gardener to join our team of committed and passionate professionals. In this role, you will provide a range of high-quality gardening services to older people living in their own homes in the south-western metropolitan community.

KEY GARDENING DUTIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Basic landscaping to ensure safety of clients
  • Lawn mowing
  • Tree & shrub pruning and weeding
  • Removing of garden rubbish
  • Basic irrigation
  • Basic planting
  • Eliminating pests
  • Smoke alarm checks
  • Gutter cleaning
    This role suits people with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a flexible approach. You will build lasting, trust-based relationships with clients, their families, and your team.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU MUST

  • Be prepared to undertake a police background check and a functional assessment (Provided by us)
  • Hold a Current SA Drivers Licence
  • Have a Current First Aid Certificate (can obtain on job)
