Gardens of Joy is an energetic & creative residential gardening services company. We have been in the Aurora/Newmarket & surrounding area, for the last 12 years. Our services include spring clean-up & planting, ongoing seasonal garden maintenance, redesigning existing plantings and fall clean-up.
Your role will include weeding, pruning, soil prep, planting, and post-job clean-up. Training will be provided to the right candidates. We are looking for staff, who are able to work from September to early November.
We are looking for part-time, upbeat Team Members & Supervisors for the upcoming season. Ideally you have some gardening experience, and you love being outside in all types of weather.
Gardening experience will be expected from candidates looking for a supervisory role. All ages will be considered. Possibility of advancement as we always look to promote from within our existing staff. If you have another job, it may be possible to work with that, but we expect a minimum of 3 days/week availability.

SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
• Great attention to detail & excellent communication skills
• Stamina and positive, upbeat outlook in all outdoor weather conditions, especially heat
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and small power gardening tools
• Ability to lift 30-40 lbs, bend and/or kneel for long periods of time.
• First Aid/CPR training an asset
• Cellphone with data plan required
