McLean Farms is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in Pittsworth, 30 minutes Southwest of Toowoomba. Specialising in livestock and food production, the business is involved with a broad range of agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations. We are currently seeking Poultry Hands to join the Gardens team in a full-time capacity.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is responsible for effectively and efficiently assisting in managing the environment to provide optimal conditions for layer hens to achieve maximum production daily while upholding strict animal welfare protocols.
You will be a dynamic self-starter and be passionate about supporting a collaborative working environment, in line with our culture and values.

DAILY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• Conducting feed, water and light checks, including general maintenance to equipment where necessary;
• Conducting environmental checks to ensure birds are comfortable;
• Conducting inspections on bird welfare, egg systems, and egg belts for ease of flow;
• General cleaning and servicing of sheds and equipment as required;
• Other duties as required.
