TITLE: GARMENT TECHNICIAN / PRINT FINISHER

The Best Connection have an exciting new opportunity for the correct candidate with the correct skill set and experience. This is with one of our Burgess Hill based clients, the job role is a Garment Refinisher, and you will be working in an established site with embroidery machines ensuring high standard of finished products are maintained and upheld. This position will be on a temporary maternity cover contract to begin with but for the correct candidate a permanent position is available. The usual working hours are flexible between 6:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday resulting in a 40-hour week. Please note details are subject to change in regard to training for the role. Responsibilities
  • Operate automated embroidery machines to embroider designs on garments.
  • Work with maximum efficiency to ensure maximum output of work.
  • Observe sewing operation to detect defects in stitching and notify any faults to supervisor.
  • Apply customer logos to a range of indoor and outdoor work clothing using heat sealing
  • Finish and Inspect garments after logo application for proper quality control.
  • Work accurately with attention to detail and efficiently to the highest standard of quality and
  • meet timescales.
  • Comply with all aspects of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Highlight to the department supervisor if any equipment necessary for performing your duties is
  • malfunctioning or requires maintenance.
  • Provide feedback to the Supervisor on process improvements.
  • To keep a safe, tidy and clean place of work for you, other employees and visitors.
  • Undertake training deemed necessary to allow you to carry out your work safely and efficiently
  • and assist in your personal development.
  • Assisting with general day to day department duties including Routine maintenance and
  • cleaning of machines.
  • Assisting with warehouse support as required.
  • Assisting with office support as required.
  • Any reasonable working request given to you by your Manager or a Director.
