Salary and Benefits Competitive Company Van and Fuel Card 24 days holiday per year Pension with 4% salary sacrifice scheme and employer contribution Death in Service benefit of 4 x salary Employee Assistance Programme Health Cash Plan Enhanced Family Friendly Policies Long Service Awards Additional holiday days based on length of service Cycle to work scheme The Role As our Gas Engineer, you will be expected to: To carry out inspections, diagnose faults, fit parts, and carry out repairs relating to all aspects heating and hot water systems Undertake boiler breakdowns Undertake gas servicing Testing of smoke and CO alarms To complete job sheets/PDA for every task, daily log sheets and weekly time sheets To comply with safe working practices ensuring safety of your colleagues and public is always maintained Liaise with colleagues as required to ensure a high quality service is delivered and a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved Responsible for the delivery if planned commitments to the client, ensuring agreed KPI's and service levels are being met To supervise and train any apprentices that might be placed with you from time to time in line with Aston Group's policies and procedures To maintain a high standard of customer service for all internal and external activities To comply with the Company's Health & Safety Policy at all times and follow all related safe systems of work Undertake other duties of a similar nature as required by management Responsible for care and maintenance of vehicle; washes vehicle and cleans interior; takes vehicle to garage for maintenance and repair To report any vehicle malfunctions to management as soon as possible Work towards Aston Groups target of reducing carbon emissions by following guidance provided to all employees on energy efficiency Work within the Health and Safety Act of 1974 at all times by following guidance provided to employees at all times. Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 17:00 pm, and flexibility with working hours is essential as overtime will be required from time to time. The Candidate To be considered for our Gas Engineer role, you will have the following skills and experience: Qualifications ACS / Gas Safe qualified and the ability to demonstrate relevant experience CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT Energy Efficiency Unvented Hot Water HIU (desirable not essential) Heat Pumps (desirable not essential) Gas fires Cylinders HRU Experience Minimum of 5 years gas servicing and breakdown experience Experience as a suitably qualified heating/gas service engineer working in commercial and/or domestic premises Use and ability to train in the use of PDA devices. Skills/Knowledge The ability to establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Effective time management and organisation of own workload Intermediate level user of Microsoft Office The ability to learn new software packages To be able to work as part of a team It is a requirement that a valid full clean driving licence is maintained If you feel you have the skills for the Gas Engineer, please apply now!
