We’re coming off a strong year and are setting even higher ambitions for the future. To help us reach the next level, we’re looking for a Gas Lift Engineer to join our team.
As a Gas Lift Engineer at Ambyint, you will lead the strategy and development of our advanced gas lift optimization solutions, bridging the gap between traditional artificial lift engineering and cutting-edge digital technology. The role focuses on transforming complex gas lift engineering challenges into innovative software solutions that optimize production, reduce operating costs, and enhance operational efficiency for our customers.
This 12-month contract is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on our products and processes while collaborating closely with engineering teams, customers, and stakeholders. Toward the end of the contract, you will also work alongside another team member to ensure a seamless transition and continued success of ongoing initiatives.
You will work at the intersection of artificial lift expertise and digital transformation, developing, implementing, and supporting solutions that revolutionize how companies manage their gas lift operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Engineering certification
  • Minimum of 7 years of direct experience designing and troubleshooting gas lift systems in North America, including Canadian operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven expertise in gas lift design software and well modeling applications
  • Demonstrated experience with well performance analysis and nodal analysis
  • Proficiency in analyzing well data and creating technical recommendations
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to optimize complex production systems
  • Excellent project management and documentation skills
  • Direct field experience operating and troubleshooting gas lift systems would be a plus
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement gas lift optimization strategies using advanced analytics and artificial intelligence technologies
  • Develop and execute a gas lift product roadmap that accounts for company commercial objectives and customer technical objectives, including prioritization of features for a multi-disciplinary technology team
  • Optimize, and troubleshoot customer gas lift systems while ensuring alignment with company efficiency goals and operational requirements
  • Analyze well performance data and recommend improvements to maximize production while minimizing operating costs
  • Collaborate with field operations teams to implement gas lift solutions and provide technical guidance during installation and commissioning
  • Conduct nodal analysis and well modeling to optimize gas lift performance and ensure system reliability
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and best practices for gas lift operations
  • Work closely with software development teams to enhance gas lift optimization algorithms and digital solutions
  • Provide technical support and training to operations and engineering stakeholders
  • Support sales and business development teams with technical expertise during customer engagements
  • Lead technical reviews and participate in project planning meetings
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation in gas lift technologies
