JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Gas Piping Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to work on various gas piping systems. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance and manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques for joining piping materials as needed.
  • Understanding of low voltage electrical systems and their integration with gas piping operations.
  • Previous experience as an industrial electrician is a plus.
  • Knowledge of boiler systems and HVAC principles is beneficial.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair gas piping systems in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on gas piping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to gas systems, utilizing analysis skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and tradespeople, including HVAC specialists and industrial electricians, to complete projects efficiently.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings related to gas piping installations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project status and any necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
