Job Title: Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer
Location: Portsmouth / Guildford
Salary: £42,000 - Rising to £45,000 base + excellent OTE (up to £60,000+)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Sector: Social Housing

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to join our team, working within the social housing sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and motivated engineer to secure a stable role with strong earning potential, consistent workload, and a supportive team environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in gas servicing and breakdown
• ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, etc.) – up to date
• Full UK driving license
• Experience in social housing or working in tenanted properties preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong fault-finding and repair abilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out servicing and breakdown repairs on domestic gas appliances in tenanted properties
• Fault diagnosis and repairs with a first-time fix approach
• Ensure all work complies with current safety and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate records of work completed
• Deliver excellent customer service, particularly when working in occupied homes
