GASTROENTEROLOGIST Job Description: Treat diseases and ailments of the digestive system. Diagnose and treat disorders related to the esophagus, stomach, intestines, gallbladder, liver, and pancreas. Diagnose diseases of the GI tract and administer treatment for patients. Procedurally, inspect internal organs through upper and lower endoscopic procedures to examine the upper and lower tract for cancer screening/ detection and consult with primary care and specialty care physicians. Job Requirements: Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or its foreign equivalent. Current and valid Physician License from the state of Indiana. Completion of a three (3) year residency program in Internal Medicine. Completion of a three (3) year fellowship program in Gastroenterology. Board certified or Board eligible in Gastroenterology.
