Description Gastroenterology Opening – Harlingen, Texas Outpatient Only | No Call | Up to $395K + Loan Repayment A leading integrated healthcare system in Harlingen, Texas is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist to join a well-supported outpatient GI practice with a focus on comprehensive digestive health and Hepatitis care. This opportunity offers excellent work-life balance with no call, no weekends, and a manageable patient schedule in a collaborative clinical environment. Position Highlights Outpatient-only Gastroenterology practice Monday-Friday schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM No call responsibilities No weekends or holidays Low daily patient volume: approximately 5-10 patients per day Strong nursing and administrative support Opportunity for teaching and research involvement Compensation & Benefits Compensation $300,000-$395,000 salary Recruitment and relocation incentives available Comprehensive Benefits Package Up to $200,000 in student loan repayment assistance Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan with matching contributions Generous PTO and paid holidays CME support Malpractice coverage included Responsibilities Provide comprehensive Gastroenterology care in the outpatient setting Diagnose and manage GI conditions including chronic liver disease and Hepatitis Develop diagnostic and treatment plans for GI patients Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans Participate in teaching, mentorship, and potential research activities Procedural Responsibilities Physicians should be comfortable performing a broad range of GI procedures, including: EGD Colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy ERCP Polypectomy Liver biopsy PEG placement Esophageal dilation Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) Esophageal banding and sclerotherapy Esophageal stent placement Additional diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license Board Certified in Gastroenterology Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary care teams Interest in teaching and mentoring preferred Why Harlingen, Texas?
