Job Description The Division of Gastroenterology covers various services from luminal gastroenterology, advanced endoscopy and hepatology. Advanced endoscopy service includes complex endoscopic mucosal resection, ERCP, stenting and endoscopic ultrasound. The hepatology service offers focused clinical expertise, fibroscan, paracentesis and liaison with local interventional radiology for TIPSS. The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine is seeking a full-time associate to join the Gastroenterology (GI) group at Brampton Civic Hospital starting in July 2026. The successful applicant will cover the GI luminal consult service and will provide added support for our hepatology team. Equitable endoscopy resources/hospital service allocation is a core tenet. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees. This role’s expected start date is July 2026. Qualifications Accredited medical degree (or equivalent) License to practice and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario Fellowship in Gastroenterology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Special interest and/or post-residency training in inflammatory bowel diseases is preferable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills Proven track record of attendance, punctuality and accountability Models behaviour that aligns with Osler’s Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration Expertise in clinical teaching or clinical research preferred for those interested in education or research Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population Additional Information Osler is an integral clinical partner in the development of Ontario’s new School of Medicine, in partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University and as part of its transition to an academic health centre.
