Description
Position Overview:  The Gate Attendant is the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm and professional welcome to Edgewood Tahoe Resort. This role is responsible for controlling access to the resort, verifying guest credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining security and safety standards.    Key Responsibilities:  * Greet guests, visitors, and VIPs with professionalism and hospitality.  * Coordinate with front desk staff, concierge, and valet teams to ensure seamless guest experience.  * Verify guest reservations, check-in details, and confirm access authorization.  * Provide accurate information about the resort’s amenities, directions, and services.  * Direct guests to the appropriate locations within the resort.  * Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.  * Operate surveillance systems, gates, and other security technology as needed.  * Report any security, maintenance, or safety concerns to the appropriate departments.  * Ensure the entrance area remains clean, organized, and presentable at all times.  * Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and visitor logs.  * Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.  Qualifications and Skills:  * Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.  * Previous experience in hospitality, security, or customer service is preferred.  * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  * Professional demeanor with a focus on guest experience.  * Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently.  * Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency protocols is an advantage.  Physical Requirements:  * Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs.  * Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.  * Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
