Description The Gate Automation & Low Voltage Technician plays a key role in both installation and service of gate systems and commercial security technologies. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of mechanical work, low-voltage systems, and customer interaction, with the opportunity to grow into a long-term career. What You’ll Do -Install, service, and troubleshoot: Gate systems (slide, swing, lift, crash gates) Parking revenue control systems Bollards and barrier systems -Support installation and service of low-voltage and security systems, including: Access control systems CCTV/video surveillance Security/intrusion systems Fire alarm systems Voice/data cabling and structured wiring Wired and wireless networks Paging and telephone entry systems -Program, test, and troubleshoot commercial security and access systems -Provide on-site customer service, including system training and support -Collaborate with team members and assist in training new technicians -Travel to job sites throughout Ohio as needed Requirements What We’re Looking For Experience with low-voltage systems (access control, cameras, intrusion, or cabling) Ability to install, program, and troubleshoot commercial security systems Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking Excellent customer service and communication skills Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and laptops in the field Proficiency with hand and power tools Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical field Nice to Have Experience with gate automation systems HVAC, electrical, or construction background
