Lyons Ltd. has been part of the community since 1913 – today, we continue the tradition of being a family-owned business serving Algoma as Island Timber Mart Kent’s Corner, Lyons Timber Mart Black Rd., and Lyons Timber Mart Wellington.
Lyons Timber Mart is currently seeking a Part-Time Gate House Cash Associate to join our team at our Wellington West Timber Mart location. The ideal candidate will find excitement in joining a team which provides customers with quality products, expert advice, and exceptional service.
As a Gate House Cash Associate ,you will be the face of our company, interacting with customers, providing exceptional service, and driving sales. Applicants must have customer service experience as well as a friendly attitude.
Duties include,
Greet and approach all customers in a warm and welcoming professional manner
Keep up to date on store/yard product
Ensure all orders are processed accurately
Process payments and refunds, issue receipts accurately
Maintain open lines of communication between the Gate House and inside Store Associates
Train other employees as requested by management
Ensure a clean and safe working environment
Assist with other related duties as required or assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Weekend and evening availability Sunday to Saturday
Friendly demeanor and strong attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent customer service skills to build and maintain relationships with local clients.
Basic math skills for cash duties
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Friendly and outgoing personality who loves dealing with the public.
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus
Must be able to lift up to 50lb to assist customers and merchandise sales floor.
Must provide own Certified Steel Toe boots to be worn when working in the Gate House
