Description
Description Guard entrance gate of plant and grounds. Control traffic to and from the property. Control gate to allow entrance or exit of employees, truckers and authorized visitors. Check credentials or approved roster before admittance to facility is allowed. Issue passes at own discretion or on instructions from management. Issue proper PPE necessary (if required in the area being visited). Direct visitors and truckers to various parts of grounds or buildings. Inspect outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or products. Answer telephone and transfer calls as appropriate. Take messages from employees calling in and relaying information to supervisors and Human Resources. Other duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma/GED Highly organized and detail oriented. Ability to use computer system and record keeping. Ability to work independently. Manufacturing experience working in industrial production is strongly preferred. Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals. Basic math, reading, and writing skills. Good communication skills Willingness to always comply with all safety guidelines. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Attend all safety and production trainings. Essential Physical Functions: Ability to work on the production floor with exposure to dust, fumes, odors, loud noise, and varying temperatures. Ability to perform physical tasks that are repetitive. Ability to do work requiring standing with frequent stooping, bending, reaching overhead and sufficient manual dexterity to perform all aspects of the job. Ability to lift, move parts and equipment up to 100 pounds in a team lift. Able to work 12 hour shifts primarily standing. We are an equal employment opportunity employer. Responsibilities
The Gate Monitor is responsible for controlling access to the plant by verifying credentials and managing traffic for employees and visitors. Additional duties include issuing PPE, inspecting outgoing traffic, and handling telephone communications for management and HR.
