GATE/SHUTTER ENGINEER | £42,000 – £43,000 | LONDON | PERMANENT | 6AM-3PM/2PM-11PM (MON-FRI)

The role of Gates Engineer is working within our Maintenance Department on multiple sites. Your duties will consist of installation/servicing/maintaining and rectification of works on various premises across London within set time scales. You will ensure that all tasks are carried out to comply with relevant standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in FAAC, BFT, CAME, HTC, Eagle Automation products would be preferred
• DHF Automated gate and barrier training (Provided)
• Sentinel card would be desirable
• CSCS Card would be preferred

PREFERRED SKILLS AND BEHAVIORS:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Self motivated
• Diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
• Good communication skill
• Accurate / legible paperwork skills for reporting
• Hold a full UK Driving licence
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Have an understanding of Health and Safety procedures
• Maturity and responsibility, especially as working in a high security environment
• Attention to detail
• Organisational and time management skills
• Work well under pressure
• Relevant qualification for Electrical working.

• Carry out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance in accordance with contractual obligations and in-house safe systems of work
• Maintaining and repairing assets and building fabric
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard
• Comply with timescales in accordance with contractual obligations for the rectification of damage and defects by use of the in-house systems in operation
• Experience with working on the following assets, Gates, Barriers, Turnstiles, Floor barriers, roller shutters
• Dealing effectively and safely with faults/breakdowns
• Complete tasks such as; fixing, Gates, Barriers, Turnstiles, Floor barriers, roller shutters.
• Undertake reactive in hours call outs to multiple sites as required
• Adhere to all Health & Safety guidance and instruction to maintain a positive Health & Safety culture
