As a Gatehouse Guard, you will ensure a safe and secure community by following the proper protocol to only allow authorized entry while providing excellent customer service l in your dealings and communication. This is a part-time position with a general schedule of Thursday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals with customer service experience who are eager to grow and advance in their careers! Responsibilities: Guest Services Greet all guests and owners in a warm, professional manner to create a positive first impression. Stay attentive to vehicles arriving at the property and respond quickly to all arrivals. Follow established procedures to verify whether individuals are authorized before granting them access to the community. Politely redirect unauthorized personnel from property and do not allow entry until access has been verified. Respond to phone calls, emails, and internal messages promptly and courteously. Communicate clearly and regularly with the Welcome Center and all other staff members. Remain informed about current community events and updates to assist residents and guests effectively. Program and assign car tags accurately when directed. Security & Operations Accurately log vehicle and destination information for each person entering the community. Conduct scheduled patrols throughout the community to help ensure safety and identify any irregularities. Offer support and guidance on safety practices and procedures to help maintain security throughout the community. Keep the workplace clean, organized, and presentable always. Complete any other duties assigned by management or direct supervisor. Requirements High School Diploma (preferred). 1-2 years of previous customer service experience (required). Active Unarmed Security Guard/Officer license from the State of TN or willing to obtain within 60 days of employment (required). 2 years of relevant security experience or private community experience (preferred but not required). Must be minimum of 18 years of age (required). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Excellent customer service skills Must be able to work effectively under minimal direct supervision. Microsoft Office experience preferred. Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and morning shifts. Demonstrate positive interpersonal and communication skills with staff and customers. Strong organizational skills and general clerical skills including the use of computers, printers, copiers, electronic signatures, email, iPads, etc. Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations. Physical Requirements Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 30lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be comfortable working outside and in varying weather conditions.
