Join the Product Design Group team as a Gauge Design Engineer to support gauge management in accordance with Springfields Site Instruction SSI290.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Nuclear, aerospace, automotive or pharmaceutical engineering / manufacturing background, accustomed to very highstandards .
  • Can demonstrate experience in tool/gauge design / management. AutoCAD / AutoDesk (or equivalent) operator is essential.
  • Can demonstrate experience and working knowledge of setting geometrical limits / tolerancing, repeatability and reproducibility studies, uncertainty budgets, completing associated design calculations following international standards relating to tool /gauge design.
  • Excellent report writing
  • Degree qualified in relevant Engineering/Design subject area.

Responsibilities
  • To provide a tool / gauge design service for all Oxide Fuels requirements and liaison with other on-site teams and off-site contractors to fulfil this role.
  • To investigate and assess quality issues relating to gauges and associated sentenced product.To help improve for the gauge management team and train others.
  • Training will be given for site systems, and other opportunities to expand the scope of work may arise.
