Job Description Summary The GBS Fixed Assets Accountant – Operations & Integration supports both the integration of Fixed Asset processes for the recently acquired APM Edwards business and the execution of ongoing BD Fixed Asset accounting activities within Global Business Services Record‑to‑Report (RTR). Reporting to the GBS Operations Manager – Fixed Assets, this role plays a key part in integrating APM Fixed Asset processes, including ONCA, into BD’s standard operating model while also supporting existing BD Fixed Asset operations. The role partners closely with Global Fixed Assets, IT, and regional RTR teams to support process documentation, system testing, transition activities, and steady‑state Fixed Asset accounting across APM and BD entities. Reporting to the GBS Operations Manager – Fixed Assets, this role plays a key part in integrating APM Fixed Asset processes, including ONCA, into BD’s standard operating model while also supporting existing BD Fixed Asset operations. The role partners closely with Global Fixed Assets, IT, and regional RTR teams to support process documentation, system testing, transition activities, and steady‑state Fixed Asset accounting across APM and BD entities. Key Responsibilities: • Support the end‑to‑end integration of APM Edwards Fixed Asset activities into BD’s global Fixed Asset processes • Perform and support ongoing BD Fixed Asset accounting activities, including reconciliations, reporting, and analysis across assigned entities • Document and map APM Fixed Asset and ONCA processes, and assess alignment with BD Fixed Asset policies, controls, and standard operating procedures • Partner with IT and project teams to support APM‑related Fixed Asset system activities, including integration testing, UAT execution, and defect resolution • Develop and maintain job aids, SOPs, and process documentation to support both integration activities and steady‑state Fixed Asset operations • Support transition of APM Fixed Asset activities into regional RTR teams, including handoff planning, stabilization, and post‑transition support • Collaborate with Global Fixed Assets, regional teams, and key stakeholders to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across APM and BD Fixed Asset processes • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to Fixed Asset processes, documentation, and controls Qualifications and Skills • Foundational knowledge of Fixed Asset accounting processes, including asset lifecycle management, capitalization, depreciation, and retirements • Experience with process mapping, documentation, and SOP development in a finance or accounting environment • Exposure to system or integration testing, including UAT support and coordination with IT teams • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or JDE; experience supporting system integrations preferred • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand, document, and compare current‑state and future‑state processes • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a project‑based environment • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across global, cross‑functional teams • Willingness to learn, adapt, and support change during integration and transformation activities Education and Certifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field • 2–4 years of experience in Fixed Asset accounting, RTR, or a related finance role preferred • Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) a plus but not required Required Skills Optional Skills .
