Job Description Job Title: GCAP Digital & IT Team Lead Working Pattern: Days Working location: Bristol/Hybrid (minimum 3 Days in the office) We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital & IT Team Lead is available within our GCAP IT team. GCAP (the Global Combat Air Programme) is a trilateral initiative launched in 2022 by the governments and industries of Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom. The programme will deliver an innovative stealth fighter, ready to face the threats of the future. It will provide decisive capability for its partner nations in Europe and the Indo‑Pacific, and contribute to wider global security This role will provide team leadership and management for a team of IT professionals working to analyse and define new digital capability projects for the GCAP What you will be doing: Undertaking all people management, personal development activities and pastoral support for the team aligned to you. Being accountable for the delivery of the team. Working directly with the VP GCAP Digital & IT to ensure effective work flow down and prioritisation for the team, and as part of the leadership team, help set the expected culture and behaviours for the wider team. Representing the team internally, nationally and internationally to build relationships with stakeholders in the programme and IT function and acting as a single point of contact for the activities of the team. Building the capability of the team to support the scale and breadth of activities needed to support the GCAP effectively. Knowledge of IT and Digital solutions in the defence industry and experience of working in a high compliance environment Demonstrable knowledge and experience of IT delivery processes and architectures Demonstrable experience of building teams and processes to enable delivery of key business outcomes Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with senior business stakeholders and bring technical concepts and roadmaps to life Experience of working internationally or with a broad range of external stakeholders Qualifications in project management (APM), agile (Product Owner or Scrum Master) or equivalent experience.
