Hours: Saturdays (In-Person) 10am to 2pm

We are a supportive and growing tuition centre based at Ark St Albans Academy, Highgate. We provide high-quality academic support to students aged 8–16 in Maths, English, and 11+ preparation. Our focus is on building confidence, raising attainment, and helping students achieve strong results.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced GCSE Maths and English Teacher to deliver engaging, in-person lessons every Saturday during term time. The successful candidate will be confident in teaching both subjects up to GCSE level and have a proven track record of improving student outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong subject knowledge in both Maths and English up to GCSE level.
  • Prior experience teaching or tutoring at secondary level (minimum 1 year preferred).
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and support students of varying abilities.
  • Must be available to work in-person on Saturdays at the tuition centre.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver structured, effective lessons in Maths and English (Key Stage 3 & GCSE).
  • Tailor lessons to support a range of abilities, including students working towards Grade 4/5 and those aiming for top grades.

  • Track and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and centre staff.
  • Foster a positive and focused learning environment to help students thrive.
