ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• A degree (subject-relevant) required
• GCSE English (Language and/or Literature) at grade A–C (or 9–4)
• Clear, fluent spoken English and strong interpersonal communication
• Professional appearance and punctuality
• Ability to effectively teach the English GCSE curriculum

Desirable Attributes (not essential)

• Previous teaching or tutoring experience
• Prior work with children/young adults

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking part-time tutors specialising in:

• English Language
• English Literature

You’ll be working one-to-one or with small groups, offering tailored support to GCSE students to help them prepare confidently for exams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver engaging, personalised tuition sessions (1:1 and small groups)
• Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs using provided or self-created plans
• Keep accurate records of lesson content and student progress
• Communicate updates and feedback to parents
• Participate in occasional meetings or planning sessions
