Make a Real Impact as a Maths and English Tutor. Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of SEN and/or SEMH students? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support in Maths and English for GCSE students. These in-person sessions in Hackney offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment. This job is in-person in the Hackney area Hour(s): 2 hours per week Day(s) and Time(s) Wednesday mornings Subjects and Level: GCSE Maths and English Start date: End of January 2026 Contract length: Ongoing Rate of pay: £35 p/hr What You'll Do Provide 2 hours of tuition a week that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager We're looking for someone who has: A Bachelor’s degree (preferred) 2+ years of tutoring / teaching experience. An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
