PART‑TIME GCSE MATHS TUTOR – STEP FORWARD TUITION, WHITEFIELD

Start: September
Location: In-person at our Whitefield centre (M45 7FX)
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 pm–8:30 pm (flexible; minimum 3 hrs/week)
Pay: £17.50–£35.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver personalised one-to-one and small-group sessions (up to 8 students), using structured lesson plans tailored to each learner’s needs
  • Maintain accurate records of lessons and pupil progress
  • Offer clear, constructive feedback to parents after sessions
  • Join occasional team meetings to share best practices and collaborate

About You

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Degree-level education, plus PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong GCSE Maths results (grades A–C / 9–4 equivalent)
  • Clear and fluent verbal communication; professional presentation
  • Punctual, reliable, and well-organised
  • Ability to confidently teach GCSE Maths content

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Self-employed status required (you’ll handle your own tax reporting)
  • Submission of a CV is mandatory with your application
  • Enhanced DBS check preferred, as a safeguarding standard
