PART‑TIME GCSE SCIENCE TUTOR – STEP FORWARD TUITION, WHITEFIELD

Start: September
Location: In-person at our Whitefield centre (M45 7FX)
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 pm–8:30 pm, flexible hours to suit your availability (minimum 3 hours/week)
Pay: £17.50–£35.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver personalised one-to-one and small-group tuition (up to 8 students), using targeted lesson plans tailored to each learner’s needs
  • Keep clear records of lessons and track student progress accurately
  • Provide insightful feedback to parents on their child’s development
  • Contribute to team meetings, fostering a collaborative, student-centred teaching environment

About You

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Degree-level education plus PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong GCSE Science results (grades A–C / 9–4 equivalent)
  • Clear, confident communication; professional presentation; reliable and punctual
  • Ability to teach GCSE Science effectively and engagingly

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is a self-employed role—you’ll manage your own tax and reporting
  • You must submit a CV with your application
  • Holding or being willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check is strongly preferred to meet safeguarding standards
