POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Table Games or Shift Manager, Table Games, this position under contract is responsible for providing dealing services to customers while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian’s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

EXPERIENCED POKER DEALERS WANTED (LIVE-GAME)

This is a 4-month contract term that will run from September 15 – (latest end date 1/12/2026) . We are looking for individuals who have flexible schedules (overnights & weekends) to offer exceptional customer service dealing Hold’em, and Omaha Poker in our exciting Poker Room at GCT.

Must have:

  • Experience dealing live-game poker, and tournament experience is considered an asset.
  • A valid AGCO license – Category 2
  • Flexible availability – evenings and weekends

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have experience as a Texas Hold’em Poker Dealer at a recognized gaming provider.
  • Holds a Category 2 gaming license.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, all shifts, and holidays.
  • Able to sit/stand for long periods, and reach over 70 cm
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Strong ability to follow policies, procedures and practices.
  • Math skills (balancing, addition, and calculation) and manual dexterity (pitching, shuffling, riffling).“Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required”

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Dealer Certificate (training provided)
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming LicenseOther languages an asset

ABOUT THIS ROLE!

Under the general direction of Table Games, this position will be responsible for providing superior customer service and dealing Texas Hold’em Poker games precisely, efficiently and securely under all applicable policies and procedures. Table Games Dealers must lead by example to create Great Experiences and Memories for all guests and colleagues!

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO!

  • Deal Texas Hold’em Poker table games per department standards.
  • Creates an enjoyable and fun atmosphere, delivering exceptional experiences to internal and external guests.
  • Performs opening and closing procedures for tables.
  • Makes accurate chip exchanges and payouts.
  • Ensures that every bet is within the minimum and maximum table limits.
  • Maintains a steady game pace by efficiently handling cards, chips, cash and other equipment.Communicates with Table Games Supervisor or above on table issues, including responsible beverage concerns, responsible gaming, violations of table rules or other issues.


    • Deals card games

    • Maintains the security of the table and its float
    • Controls the table in the correct order of play; closes bets at the appropriate time
    • Refers disputes, irregularities or suspicious activities to the Manager
    • Verifies chip refills and credits
    • Tidies workstation and pit area
    • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
    • Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
    • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
    • Knows, understands and implements safe work practices and procedures.
    • Promotes Responsible Gaming.
    • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, employees, vendors and regulators.
    • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
    • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) provisions, regulations, and internal health and safety policies and procedures.
