B (professional qualification)     The opportunity   This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team within EY. Part of the GDS-GCO Enablement team in India, the role will work with legal/Global General Counsel’s Office (GCO) attorneys, and support EY’s business on vendor contracts. You will provide legal support to the business and become a trusted adviser of stakeholders (often at senior leadership level). You will be expected to assess and understand how risks can be best managed and mitigated.     Your responsibilities   Key responsibilities will include the following:   Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, finalising and advising on client and procurement contracts (for EY and its global network member firms) and shall include:   IT contracts for multiple EY divisions and variety of technologies (such as AI, robotics, analytics), Software License contracts, Hosted software/Hosted Services Agreements; IT Services agreements; Software support agreements; SLAs Client Contracts (Engagement Agreement, Teaming Agreement, Sub-Contract Agreement, RFPs, Managed Services Agreement). Act as a point of contact for EY’s business/procurement teams and support the legal team. Have a thorough understanding of general key business risks that need to be managed (training will be facilitated in respect of EY’s specific risk management framework) Assist with creating, facilitating, and delivering training to the team members. Collaborating with internal specialist functions including Independence, onshore legal teams, Security, Privacy and Risk Management Maintaining an understanding of the impact of changes in EY policies, organizational structure, and procedures. Handling, mentoring, and leading a team of legal counsels Guiding and handholding the junior team members in their day-to-day transactions     Skills and attributes for success   You will be provided with training and coaching on the job.     We are looking for someone who has the following attributes and skills:   A pragmatic problem solver A drive to continuously build and master key technical, functional and professional skills Self-starter and motivated Ability to effectively manage a demanding workload with tight deadlines in a fast-paced, challenging and demanding environment     Experience and qualifications   Law Graduate/LL.B, with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating technology contracts or other complex contracts with an appreciation of general legal and risk management issues. Experience in US and UK laws are preferred Experience in dealing with IT contracts - S.I programs, niche projects / agile approach, IT advisory, Program Management / Change around IT programs, Program/software development projects. Previous risk management at a professional services firm Experience of senior management and stakeholder management Interest in the area of risk management or compliance Knowledge of data protection (GDPR/CCPA), privacy and security terms Confidence delivering subject matter content to peers and seniors (to facilitate training either in person or online) Understanding of compliance related concepts such as Independence, Conflicts.
