We set the bar high for both safety and cleanliness. POSITION SUMMARY The Gear Cutter Position is part of our manufacturing team. The Gear Cutter will run internal and external gears as required. This position is required to measure products while running on machines as well as holding given tolerance. The Gear Cutter will be responsible for running multiple machines in a team environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Setup and independently run gear shapers, hobbers and grinders while following instruction from engineering staff; Programming Dept. provides programs and work/setup instructions to support your success Following programs and measuring parts with inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges; experience with machining helpful Performs regular preventative maintenance on machines Complies with safety regulations in all aspects of performing job responsibilities Gives close attention to detail Completes all production and quality logs daily Maintains equipment fluid levels & cleanliness. Knowledge of machine basic maintenance and notify maintenance department of issues Completes production and quality logs as required Handles miscellaneous duties as required Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Attentive to detail; organized. Employee will be responsible for looking at all angles of parts in the machine and on pallets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
