Are you passionate about adult education? Do you believe in second chances and the power of lifelong learning? The La Vista Public Library is looking for a dedicated, empathetic, and engaging part-time evenings (9 hours/week) GED Instructor to join our team! You’ll be helping students gain the skills and confidence they need to earn their GED—opening doors to new opportunities in work, life, and learning. Work Schedule: * Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, subject to change Qualifications and Skills Needed: * Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field * 1 year of teaching experience with adult learners or GED students * Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with ability to build a rapport with students * Empathy, patience, and a passion for teaching * Basic computer proficiency * Experience working with GED exams and/or GED instructional experience (preferred) * Current teaching certificate (preferred) Note: Background check and drug screening will follow all conditional offers of employment.

The GED Instructor will help students gain the skills and confidence needed to earn their GED. This role involves engaging with adult learners and providing support in their educational journey.
