* Commencement: May 2026 * Duration: Up to December 2026 * Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea  * Open to PNG Citizens only    About the Program  The Papua New Guinea (PNG) Australia Transition to Health (PATH) is a six-year (2020–2026) health sector program funded by the Australian Government under the PNG – Australia Partnership for Development. PATH works with the Government of PNG (GoPNG) to improve coverage and quality of health services for the people of PNG through effective, equitable, efficient, and inclusive interventions. Guided by the National Department of Health (NDoH), Provincial Health Authorities (PHAs) and the Bougainville Department of Health (BDoH) are responsible for the delivery of health services across PNG. PATH assists NDoH, PHAs and BDoH to strengthen systems for health service delivery targeting infectious diseases, and reproductive, maternal, newborn child and adolescent health, with a focus on promoting gender equality, disability inclusion, and safeguarding. PATH’s end of investment outcomes (EOIOs) are: * PHAs are more able to lead provincial health reform and manage effective, efficient, equitable and quality essential health services in selected provinces. * DFAT-funded health services are demonstrating efficient and effective models of service delivery, influencing PHA performance; and building sustainability by transitioning to PHA management in selected provinces.   PATH’s intermediate outcomes (IOs) are: IO1: Provincial Health Authority Leadership IO2: Enhanced GEDSI Capacity IO3: Essential Health Services PATH is a locally led, adaptive, and politically informed program that seeks to maintain flexibility to respond to changing and local circumstances over the life of the program.     About the Opportunity Reporting to the GEDSI & Safeguarding Lead, the GEDSI Senior Coordinator will support the day-to-day implementation activities across all grants and activities managed by PATH’s GEDSI Team. This will include strong operational and administrative support for activities, as well as coordination and administrative support for governance meetings and processes. The GEDSI Senior Coordinator will also work closely with colleagues in the PHASP unit and PHAs/BDoH to coordinate and ensure activities such as travel, trip reports, workshops, briefings, and presentations are delivered effectively and efficiently and demonstrate value for money (VFM).  This role will ensure strong coordination within the GEDSI Unit.   Specific Responsibilities The GEDSI Senior Coordinator is responsible for: * Provide a high standard of written work including preparation of meeting agendas and minutes, proposals, and contributions to program reporting. * Coordination and planning of meetings and events.  * Provide a high standard of logistical and secretariat support for project and partner meetings and ensure adherence to the meeting schedule. Includes logistical arrangements and the preparation of documents such as agendas, briefing packs and meeting minutes.  * High-quality secretariat support to the GEDSI team.  * Work closely with the implementation team to ensure compliance with program operational systems, policies and processes.  * Work closely with contracted implementation service providers and GoPNG technical and management teams to monitor contract deliverables and verify milestone payments. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders and provide regular communication with partners.  * Other duties as directed.  General * Provide broader surge support to the PATH Program as required. * Any other duties as required by the GEDSI and Safeguarding Lead or their delegate.   Key Deliverables * Coordinate and deliver project meetings and events in a timely manner and to a consistently high standard, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and follow‑through. * Provide high‑quality secretariat and logistical support to the GEDSI team and partners, including preparation of agendas, briefing packs, minutes, and other meeting documentation, in line with agreed schedules. * Produce clear, accurate, and timely written outputs, including correspondence, proposals, and contributions to program reporting. * Coordinate efficiently across internal teams and external stakeholders, responding to queries in a timely and solutions‑focused manner. * Work closely with implementation, project management, and technical teams to support delivery of GEDSI-related activities and ensure compliance with program systems, policies, and processes. * Liaise with implementing service providers and Government of PNG counterparts to support contract management, including monitoring deliverables and verifying milestone payments. * Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with partners and stakeholders, supported by regular, professional communication and positive performance feedback. * Deliver all responsibilities within agreed timeframes while contributing proactively to broader team objectives. * Participate in performance management processes and achieve at least a satisfactory rating under the Individual Performance Management Framework. * Undertake other duties as required.   Key working relationships  The GEDSI Senior Coordinator will maintain professional working relationships with: * PATH GEDSI and Safeguarding Lead  * PATH GEDSI Team * PATH Team, including Provincial Facilitators (PFs) and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Coordinators (MELCs) * National Department of Health (NdoH)   About You  For applications to be considered, a response to the key selection criteria below must be provided.  * Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline * Minimum of 3 Years work experience in related fields * Experience working cross-culturally and with multinational teams.  * Experience with minute taking, report writing and other monitoring activities.  * Experience working with Governments, particularly in international relations.  * Experience with coordinating/contributing to high level meetings.  * Knowledge/experience working on GEDSI/public health programs. * Strong written and verbal communication in English.  * Strong people skills and ability to foster partnerships.  * Attention to detail.    How to Apply * Please ensure to address the Key Selection Criteria (About You) in your cover letter, and submit your application online, along with your CV as a single document.  * Applications must be submitted personally by individuals only.
