Job Summary: As part of the AI and Automation team, the Gen AI Data Engineer will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining artificial intelligence tools that will assist with Cognizant Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) service operations. Job Title: Gen AI Data Engineer Location: St. Louis, MO or Dallas, TX - Hybrid Job ID: SO# 00064458351 Essential Functions: · Develop and implement AI applications and tools to automate and streamline RCM processes · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems · Deploy and maintain production-grade AI tools ensuring high performance and scalability · Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies Education: Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field: A strong educational background to support technical expertise. Required Experience: · A minimum of 5 years of experience working on Database(s) like PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server · Additional experience working with vector databases like Pinecone, Chroma, Pgvector · Strong proficiency in Python programming, object-oriented frameworks, and the entire software development lifecycle · Experience developing highly scalable data management interfaces, as well as software components by employing programming languages and tools · Prior experience in AI, with a minimum of 1 year focused specifically on Generative AI · Hands-on experience interfacing with and leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) · General understanding of Generative AI models, concepts, capabilities, and usage patterns, including retrieval augmented generation, chunking, finetuning, and agentic frameworks Desired Experience: · Experience in healthcare enterprise transformation · Healthcare provider experience is a plus · Azure experience is a plus Behavioral Competencies: · Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and implement them effectively. · Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
