Description

Primary Purpose of the Job Monitors and controls the oil transportation, distribution, storage and loading system of the Terminal & Export facility checking that system functions safely and effectively and making the necessary adjustments in consultation with Senior Operator in the DCS/SCADA Control System. Liaises with Control Rooms of Dukhan Oil Producers, Dukhan FSP, NG-I, NGL-4, NFGP and Refinery to discuss and resolve any problems in the supply and consumption of oil and liquid to the oil distribution & storage network. Assists the Senior Operator in operating the system. Required to follow a 2 Cycle Shift System and is not permitted to leave place of work unless relieved, Monitors and controls from the Central loading control room the crude oil, Refinery naphtha and condensate loading and ensures the safe and trouble free loading to ships is executed through MPB & SPM. Ensures the final loading calculations are passed on the Lead Terminal Supervisor for fiscal measurements and calculations. Ensures the safe operations and protection of pipelines and all tanks of the Tank Farm area. Required Experience and Skills Minimum 7 years Gas Processing & Distribution system experience including 3 years of previous experience of operating DCS/SCADA Control System. Educational Qualifications Completion of Secondary Education followed by 2/3 years formal technical training in Process Plant Operation to OND/ONC or equivalent level plus relevant training in Safety & Computer based systems.

Responsibilities

Monitors and controls oil transportation, distribution, and loading systems via DCS/SCADA to ensure safe and effective terminal operations. Coordinates with various control rooms to resolve supply issues and manages the loading of crude oil, naphtha, and condensate to ships.
