Description Key Areas of Responsibility: · Implement Rights Respect Responsibility curriculum through educational workshops to 15-18 year-olds, 18-25 year olds, and adult caregivers · Cultivate an effective and welcoming educational environment; · Collaborate Program Coordinator to deliver education modules that incorporate R3 and other curricula along with trauma-informed principles; · Create forms, handouts and other educational materials that are culturally competent and developmentally appropriate for target client base; · Acknowledge and incorporate the intersectionality of race and gender inequality into issue-focused lessons; · Teach skills and promote social norms that inform about and protect against sexual violence; · Implement curricula that includes medically accurate information referenced in peer-reviewed publications by educational, scientific, governmental, or health organizations; · Implement curricula and/or strategies with an evidence-based approach to integrate research findings with practical implementation that align with the needs and desired outcomes of the targeted audience of youth; · Ensure lessons and classroom environment are inclusive and non-stigmatizing towards all participants; · Collaborate with media consultant on the development of social media campaigns and pre-recorded community education components; · Other duties as assigned. Requirements Attributes/Skills Required/Sought: · Provides factual information about Gender-Based Violence and Human Trafficking; · Provides direct health education and information; · Documents visits and interactions appropriately; · Ensures all confidential information is protected; · Adheres to all mandates of the GBV program performance standards; · Collects required data material and reports to Program Coordinator; · Displays sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in the service population; · Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish · Fluent in Spanish Experience/Education Required/Sought: · Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field; · At least two years’ experience working with high-risk youth; · Professional experience and/or specialization in sexual health; · Familiarity with Chicago’s communities, especially those on the south side; · Ability to assess individual/group learning needs and create an environment conducive to learning; · Knowledge and/or experience in the design and implementation of sexual health and wellness education strategies and events;
