THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for an intern who will contribute to university work on tackling gender based violence.The intern will support several of the initiatives of the Gender based Violence Working group. They will work closely with the Equally Safe manager to update the Equally Safe and gender based violence related webpages, and create more accessible content. The intern will also be involved in the setting up of a first-of-its-kind online GBV Hub for students.
Employ.ed on Campus is run by the Careers Service in collaboration with University departments and Schools. This internsip is open to 2nd and 3rd year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK. You cannot take part if you are a visiting student, or you have already taken part in the programme before.
Expected commencement date: 2nd June 2025 (9 week internship)
This post is part-time (12 hours per week); The salary for this post is £23,114 per annum (pro-rata) (£12.67 per hour).

YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:

  • A keen interest in gender based violence issues, in particular within Higher Education
  • Experience of web development softwares
  • Knowledge of how to improve website efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content
  • Good organisational skills
