Your purpose will be: Working with the Director of Finance, we are seeking a General Accountant who will be responsible for the preparation of monthly month-end journals for posting, maintain fixed asset register, details of balance sheet schedules and bank reconciliation. Job Description Prepare balance sheet account reconciliation schedules Prepare bank reconciliation Provide timely & accurate financial information to management Prepare quarterly GST reports Prepare governmental survey reports Prepare General Ledger journal postings for month-end closing, including prepayments, provisions, allocations, memo accounts etc Maintain & upkeep Fixed Assets Register Monitor new Fixed Assets purchases in compliance with hotel requirements & approved budget Manage the review and commitment of payroll Qualifications Diploma in Accounting / Finance, or equivalent experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity, within a mid-scale luxury hospitality environment, preferably within a international hotel brand. Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and relevant accounting systems or equivalent experience. Relevant experience in a similar capacity within a hotel or facilities management environment. Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail. Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with brand standards.
