QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–4 years’ accounting experience in F&B, retail, or hospitality (mandatory).
• Knowledge of VAT and regional tax regulations.
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Tally, FMC, or equivalent).
• Strong organizational and accuracy skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

ROLE SUMMARY

The General Accountant handles day-to-day accounting activities and ensures accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. The role supports monthly closing, compliance requirements, and management reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Record and maintain general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, journal vouchers, accruals, and prepayments.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and customer collections.
• Support payroll processing and statutory compliance.
• Prepare VAT/tax filings and ensure timely submissions.
• Assist in monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow preparation.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Support external and internal audits with required documentation.
• Monitor intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Generate ad-hoc financial reports for management.
