Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant with a strong background in the interior fit-out industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting project accounting and cost tracking.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an interior fit-out company.
  • Strong knowledge of project accounting and cost control.
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Good understanding of IFRS and local tax regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure proper ledger maintenance.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Handle all journal entries and adjustments, including accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
  • Monitor project costs and prepare job costing reports.
  • Coordinate with the project team to track budgets, progress billing, and change orders.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Track customer invoices and follow up on collections.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash.
  • Monitor cash flow and provide forecasts to management.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT and other local tax regulations.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation.
