POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable General Accountant to support our accounting department during a peak operational period. This role will assist with day-to-day accounting functions for both Kaneff Group and Kaneff Golf, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in general accounting or related roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting practices
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software (experience with Yardi is an asset)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Retail experience and POS experience is an asset for this role.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger reconciliations
• Perform account analysis and assist with budget tracking
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes as needed
• Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
• Provide ad hoc financial support to the Controller and Senior Accountants
• Support seasonal golf operations with accounting-related tasks
