Key Responsibilities:
1. General Ledger Management
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Post journal entries and ensure accuracy.
2. Month-End and Year-End Closing
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end account reconciliations.
3. Reconciliations
- Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
4. Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
- Prepare reports for audits and regulatory filings.
5. Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
6. Petty Cash
- Handling petty cash and reconciling for office and stores.
7. Prepaid Schedule
- Prepare and maintain prepaid schedule by updating payment and amortization
8. Balance sheet Schedule
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet schedule
9. Fixed Assets Management
- Responsible for managing and overseeing a company’s fixed assets, ensuring accurate recording and tracking of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
10. Support
- Collaborate with other teams (AP, AR) to ensure accurate financial reporting.
