Join our team and start your journey today! Role and Responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled General Accounting Analyst within our Global Business Services (GBS). This role will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of general accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy in entries, while compiling financial reports and analysis. Accountabilities Manage daily financial data entry in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and prepare and post journal entries along with general ledger account reconciliations. Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, making necessary adjustments to capture all financial activities and facilitate the general accounting process by supplying detailed financial data for management review. Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, providing insightful reports and conducting financial variance analysis to deliver actionable insights for informed decision-making. Prepare and present financial reports that ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations while collaborating with various departments to integrate financial data and streamline processes. Develop ad-hoc reports and support special projects, such as financial data analysis and process improvements. Qualifications and Experience Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience with general accounting. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate reports. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks Able to take initiative while fostering a cooperative work environment Preferred: CMA certification or local equivalent Master’s degree in one of the fields mentioned above or CPA designation (or local equivalent) Technical Skills and Knowledge Essential: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Prior experience with Oracle ERP Suite and its related modules Solid regional accounting knowledge (i.e., US GAAP and IFRS) Preferred: Prior experience with Hyperion Finance Management (HFM) Languages Fluency in English and proficiency in Japanese Language, both spoken and written is required.
