Responsibilities

As a General Accounting Supervisor, you’ll be at the forefront of our innovation, accountable for providing timely & accurate financial results for CORP, NOVN, CANA and US holding companies according to US GAAP while ensuring a strong internal control environment. You’ll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. This role will also partner with the business segments and corporate functions to provide valuable insights to aid in business decisions. In addition, this role is expected to lead initiatives to maximize General Accounting shared services in North America, and to optimize General Accounting processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Provide timely and accurate financial results of 10+ legal entities in North America
  • Comply with all internal control requirements
  • Provide monthly analysis on corporate spending to identify unusual activities or trends
  • Review and approve manual journal entries and GL account reconciliation
  • Coordinate annual OPEX budget process globally; provide guidelines for US headcount, base compensation, incentives, expatriate expenses, and benefit
  • Participate in annual balance sheet review in US
  • Respond to inquiries from various business units and corporate functions regarding general accounting activities and provide accounting recommendations on various business activities / agreements
  • Identify, explore, and support process improvements
  • Coach and mentor staff and provide development opportunities for their career advancement
