Duties of Position: The PCP provides immediate treatment and transportation of sick and injured individuals to appropriate medical facilities. Due to the nature of operating in the public eye, a high level of professionalism, communication, and knowledge is always expected. The paramedic is required to conduct themselves in a safe and discreet manner, with the responsibility of conduct justification to patients, family members, hospitals staff, management, public agencies, legal court, and more. Required Qualifications and Other Job Requirements: Completion of a Primary Care Paramedic program of over six months; Must meet all legislated requirements for Primary Care Paramedics in the province you are applying for; Must be registered or eligible for registration, as a Primary Care Paramedic with the Paramedic Association or College of Paramedics in the province you are applying for; Must have a valid class 4 (or equivalent) Driver's Licence in the province you are applying for; Submit a valid and clean criminal record check, with vulnerable sector check; Proof of successful paramedic physical abilities testing that has been completed within the last 12 months; Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess strong interpersonal skills; Must be able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record; Must have a high regard for confidentiality; Must have excellent work habits and exhibit professionalism.
