Job Description As a General Assistant you will… Assist with the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner in line with established menus and recipes. Support the kitchen team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times, including general food preparation tasks. Picking up and checking deliveries. Help to facility team with room setups. Carry out washing-up duties in the main kitchen during busy periods. Keep front-of-house areas clean and organised, including managing dishes and utensils. Follow correct food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination. Maintain tea points around the building (restocking supplies and washing up as needed). Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Training will be provided. However, a positive attitude, a genuine smile, a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, and being a great team player are essential. Qualifications Ideally have experience working within Education catering Have good Health & Safety knowledge. Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused. Fun and enthusiastic Have excellent organization skills. Demonstrate great attention to detail. Be a team player and enjoy succeeding as a team. Possess great customer service skills. Have a flexible approach to work Rate Per Hour: £14.80 Employment Type: Permanent Hours Per Week: 28
