Colours Building Ltd is a well-established Principal Contractor with a strong presence in the public sector. We operate mainly across the South-East of England, including Sussex, Surrey, Kent, and outer London. However, we are currently on the lookout for Sub-contractors for an upcoming Project in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled General Builder to join our team at Colours Building Ltd. This role is vital to our mission of delivering high-quality building and maintenance services, contributing directly to the success of our diverse projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a Builder or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong skills in carpentry, plumbing, roofing, and masonry.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in construction.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical stamina and strength for manual labor.

• Carry out all aspects of general building work from start to finish, including:
• Structural alterations and conversions
• Skilled in bricklaying, blockwork, and pointing
• Perform first and second fix joinery, including stud walls, door hanging, skirting, kitchens, and roofing
• Undertake groundworks, including drainage, concreting, footings, and site prep
• Install doors, windows, insulation, plasterboard, and ceilings
• Operate tools and machinery as required (if licensed)
• Work from drawings and specifications with minimal supervision
• Liaise with site managers, trades, and clients as needed
• Maintain high standards of health and safety and site cleanliness
