Founded in 1850 under the name J.A Pattinson, then R.G Pattinson from 1936 and from 1973 South Cumbria Construction Ltd we are a family-run Windermere based construction company with over 175 years of experience delivering traditional craftsmanship, quality workmanship, and dependable project delivery across the Cumbria area.
We specialise in residential, heritage, and commercial building projects, combining time-honoured techniques with modern project management.
Based in Broad Street, Windermere since 1836, our offices and works provide the platform for our business which has allowed us to build a reputation for trust, integrity, and excellence in the local construction industry.

GENERAL BUILDER

As a well-established construction company in the Windermere area an opportunity has arisen for an experienced and reliable general builder to join our team.
We are looking for a general builder with a range of skills such as stonework, blockwork/brickwork and flagging which require completion to a high-quality finish.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in general building
• Ability to investigate and repair using your own initiative
• Good practical skills and attention to detail
• A reliable and conscientious approach to work
• Full clean UK driving licence (with no bans within the last 10 years) is essential as use of a company van is required.
• You must be able to prove your eligibility to work in the UK

• General building work including stonework, brickwork, blockwork and concreting
• Renovation and repair of existing properties
• Working on individual new build and extension projects
• Working to plans and specifications with a high standard of workmanship
