Job Description We are seeking a General Catering Assistant to join our team in Scarborough, United Kingdom. This role is a maternity cover position, working Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 19:00 during term time. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our catering operations and ensuring high-quality food service. Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and beverages Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including washing dishes and utensils Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Support the catering team in food storage and stock rotation Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards Assist with setting up and clearing dining areas Contribute to the overall smooth running of the catering service Qualifications Food hygiene certificate (required) Previous experience in catering or food service (preferred) Excellent food preparation and handling skills Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in a catering environment Effective time management and organisational skills Ability to work well in a team and under pressure Good customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour Basic education with good numeracy and literacy skills Flexibility to work during term time and cover the specified hours (11:00-19:00, Monday-Friday) Additional Information We pride ourselves on: People first We’re a company of individuals, united in doing our best for our clients.
