Description
Department of Information Engineering General Clerk II The appointee will assist with a wide range of departmental operations, including (a) staff recruitment and maintenance of staff information records; (b) supporting staff and student activities; (c) co-ordination of laboratory and office maintenance and renovation works; (d) organisation of departmental events; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned. Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education; (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B), OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) fast and accurate English and Chinese word-processing skill; (iv) proficiency in computer applications, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; (v) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (vi) strong organisational and multi-tasking skills, positive communication, and high attentiveness to detail; and (vii) self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and strong team spirit. Prior work experience at tertiary institutions is highly preferred. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for skill tests. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
